Farm & Ranch Hand needed at Family-owned Cow/Calf operation in NW Oklahoma ~ $40k

This is an opportunity for a long term position working side by side with owner operator. Much of this work is preformed outdoors and will be subject to normal weather conditions. Have the ability to carry more than 50 pounds. Assisting owner with all aspects of cattle care, ie calving, doctoring, gathering, moving from pasture to pasture and processing. Develop and maintain permanent fences. Mix feed and additives, fill troughs with feed and water for cattle. Preform a variety of general ranch work duties and other duties as assigned by ranch owner. Good mechanical aptitude is a plus. Utilize mechanical knowledge to trouble shoot and repair equipment. Eye for detail to help implement a preventative maintenance program. Utilize mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot and repair equipment. Familiarity with farming practices including equipment operations and equipment repair. The ability to operate tractors, sprayers, planters, pickups, and semi trucks. Help with the growing and harvesting of crops. Applicant must be motivated, show desire to accomplish individual goals and team goals. Quickly identify problems and develop solutions to resolve issues in a timely manner.
