Ranch Hand needed in Pagosa Springs, Colorado ~ Full-time or Seasonal

Requirements for employment: About the job and the ranch: The ranch is located in the upper Blanco Basin at 8200’ and is about 640 ac. It is surrounded by National Forest and is adjacent to the South San Juan Wilderness Area. We run cattle, we grow and harvest hay, we care for and ride our horses, we manage our forest, and we care for the owners and their guests needs. There are many jobs that go along with all these things, from fencing, animal husbandry, irrigation, maintenance, and much more. You don’t need to have any of these skills, only a desire learn and work hard, of course if you do have some experience it will be a bonus. There is some opportunity for additional experience as a Farriers apprentice for select individuals. Ideally we would like you to return in future summers, so we want you to have a good experience, and enjoy what you do. We also offer Spring and Fall work. Starting pay is $15/hr. Housing is included and we recently built a new furnished bunkhouse with a full kitchen, bath, high speed internet and laundry facilities. Pagosa Springs, CO is about 40 minutes away. Having your own transportation is a plus but not a requirement. We mainly work weekdays, but some weekend work will be available.
